
Kathleen is prepared to serve on the Elk Creek Fire Protection District Board and dedicate her time to help ensure the Conifer community can effectively mitigate the significant wildfire risk. Kathleen will offer a common-sense, logic-based perspective with her engineering background.
As a member of the board, Kathleen will work with the community and fellow board members to support the mission of Elk Creek Fire: To encourage and promote fire safety and fire prevention; to provide fire suppression and emergency medical services; and to make our mountain community a safe place to live, work and play.
Kathleen is aware of the challenges of living in the wildland/urban interface and will work on providing the funding and resources needed to focus on neighborhood protection helping to possibly reduce skyrocketing homeowner's insurance premiums.
As the wife of a retired firefighter, she is aware of the mental and physical toll that this noble professional takes on personnel. Kathleen will focus on providing the needed mental and physical health tools to the members of Elk Creek Fire Department.
